Me and my partner Oliver Romero were really inspired by the Tv show suits, suits is a film about lawyers who overcome the struggles in the legal world. Such as helping clients with their own cases. Getting them selves out of takeovers which would harm them etc.... What really inspired us though was the first episode, more specifically the opening. One of the main characters Michael Ross, is a very smart Drug deliverer. He has issues of his own he needs to solve, however this drug deal could end well, making him money he needs, or putting him behind bars. both are equally likely, drugs do tend to spread around for big amounts of money like this, but cops love to bait drug dealers into a purchase so they can arrest them. This is an all or nothing situation for Mike. He gets to his destination, observing his surroundings, he is on time and he see's 2 people who should be the buyers. Mike believes they could be cops, and using his brain and memory he asks 2 questions, one asking about the pools and one for the time. Based off this he was able to decipher that these were cops. Mike was able to go to the stairs to make a break for it. Of course mike fit the description of the drug deliverer, and he was also on time so, after a moment of discussion the cops tried pursuing him. Mike was able to use his head start, to get accidently get into a law interview. Where he was able to get a job, as although he made it clear he was a drug deliverer in the meeting, he is also super smart passing the bar with flying colors previously, and also being able to cite stuff out of a book which he read years ago without reading.
What me and Oliver picked up was, it was a drug deal which ended up with mike getting a job, we wanted to do something similar but of course be creative and pivot, so we landed on a hostage situation, Where we have 2 main characters a deliverer, and a drug dealer, who have a bad encounter, and the drug dealer kidnaps the deliverer, this drug dealer has also done many stunts, which our opening plans to present, showing what the movie will solve. For example, we can make it so that others were also kidnapped. So our film would be about a serial kidnapper. We plan to change a few details so, it better fits what an opening should be though, but this is our idea.
