Today I will be discussing part 2 of my mise en saun blogs. I will be talking about how me and Oliver Romero will navigate our costumes and props. Firstly costumes, we either have 2 options casual and realistic, and exciting and movie like. Realistically a kidnapper and people involved with drugs are not going to be flashy, so wearing casual clothes would be what might actually play out in a real life scenario. Being flashy however, would help especially because we are doing an action based film, and we can plan outfits based on what we want our characters to portray. We want our film to be realistic though so I think we will do the casual and realistic option, but the other choice is still on the table.
Props, we will definitely need props for our project to portray necessary objectives, and for our opening to be even possible. Firstly we will need a car, and a dark room. These are the 2 necessary props as they will be used a lot more than other props. We also need rope, as we will tie the kidnappie up, we are also bringing a clear bag with a substance like sugar, which would emulate drugs. we will also be bringing some sort of money, either fake or real for an exchange. We will also be brining in random objects to fill up the car and room, to leave the audience room to think of how they can be used to help our kidnappie. We definitely could add other things but for now, I believe this is a good place to be for props.
