Blog Posting - Music Marketing #1

 Today I will be discussing my music marketing project. We were given a printout on word which showed us the structure for what we needed to research. I had to choose 2 singers and 1 company for the music genre alternative. I chose Interscope for my company, and Billie Elish, and Vance Joy for my artists. For my research I just chose a bunch of articles I felt would helpful, and cherrypicked information. In order to plan the actual project, I have a team of 5 people. For this project we have to everything we learned about music in class to create a marketing and distribution campaign for our new artist/group. We have to have our research charts, we have to make a story board, music video, presentation, and a Blog post video as well. We were given a list of 4 songs, we had to choose one which will represent the first single released from our artist/group. So for our plans, we chose our song, and we have started scheduling how we are going to tackle this task. For the future of this, we will most likely be splitting up the work, so we can finish in time. We will probably go over it and fix things as a group, but we would like to split things up as much as possible so we have enough time to finish this task.
